“Leading A Multi-Generational Workforce” Seminars 1 & 2

July 20th, the CBA launches the first 2 seminars in a 6 seminar series focusing on attracting, recruiting & retaining Millennial professionals.  The presentations are a collaboration with University of Colorado Colorado Springs instructor Scott Van Ness.  Scott developed and facilitated this seminar for the university’s College of Business and has been invited to present his findings across the country.

Each seminar will last approximately 90 minutes and audiences will be capped at 25 attendees per seminar. Two seminars will be presented in July, September and November. Attendees will have the choice to attend one or both of the seminars on each of the announced dates.  Registration is currently open for the first two seminars on July 20th using the form at the bottom of this page.  The CBA will provide a light lunch at the July seminar.

The entire series is free to CBA members only.

Below is a detailed description of seminars 1 & 2:

7/20/17 – Seminar 1: Who are the Millennials?
This session explains the commonalities and differences between our newest, and soon to be biggest, workforce generation and the current workforce generations. The session will introduce strategies for effective motivation of Millennial employees.

Participants will learn:

  • Comparison of the four current workforce generations and how each view the workplace
  • Why Millennials are positive for your teams
  • Basic motivation concepts and strategies for the Millennial workforce

7/20/17 – Seminar 2: Motivation & Loyalty of the Millennial Workforce
Organizations have heavily invested time and money in attracting and recruiting Millennial employees, without seeing the interest in working for their company or industry. Similarly, organizations have invested even more time and money into their current Millennial employees, only to see them leave soon after. This session will focus on understanding Millennial loyalty, what companies can do to attract top talent, what really motivates your Millennial workforce, and how to invest in them.

Participants will learn:

  • Building loyalty from your Millennial workforce
  • Understanding workplace motivation for Millennial team members  If it’s not all about the salary, then what is it?
