We are looking for someone who is passionate about local news and audio and digital storytelling. This person brings ideas about how radio/other distribution methods can be used to tell stories, through features, podcasts, online design and local programming. At least one year of professional journalism experience and deep knowledge of the ethics and practices of journalism.
Cares deeply about connecting with the community in a way that continually improves our news coverage and public service. This means cultivating sources, communicating in a timely and respectful way, preparing for interviews by conducting in-depth research, and getting to know our region outside of press releases, government agendas and event calendars.
Someone who can work on long-range stories, features and short news pieces simultaneously, help with editing, web and social media duties, and also help during pledge drives and events.
