KDEN-TV, the NBCUniversal Owned Television station in Denver is looking for a Promotions Producer. The qualified candidate is responsible for producing on and off air campaigns including print, radio outdoor and digital media. Additionally, the producer will be responsible for creating, planning and executing local marketing/branding/promotional/sales initiatives with proven results. This position will work with and report to the Marketing and Promotions Manager.

Candidate must also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be detail-minded with the ability to handle tight deadlines, work well under pressure and prioritize multiple projects.

Job responsibilities:

Write, shoot, edit and produce station, news, sales, topicals and special promotional campaigns that will serve as foundation for the overall image of the station, from concept to broadcast
Operating of DSLR camera and audio equipment
Transports and sets up all required equipment for a shoot such as lighting and audio equipment including wireless receivers and microphones (lavaliers/boom/handheld/shotgun microphones)
In post-production selects footage, rough cuts, audio adjustment, edits, add graphics, voice over, music bed and include sound effects to create the final product utilizing Adobe Premiere Pro editing software, along with the entire Adobe suite (After Effects, Photoshop, Audition, etc.)
Develop creative news image campaigns while adhering to brand guidelines
Responsible for the quality of each commercial/promotional spot produced such as verifying accurate information, verifying commercials meet legal and broadcasting standards and ensuring the hub receives the spot on time
Create, produce and execute results driven promotional tactics focused on increasing viewership
Ensure the production tracker is up-to-date to be able to determine daily production priorities
Attend local grassroots marketing events and help during set-up/tear-down when needed Weeknights and weekends are required on occasion
Coordinate station talent to be part of promotional shots
Assist weekly local sales team meeting to develop & strengthen sponsorship opportunities. Includes pre-production and planning meetings with the sales account managers and clients; script writing and selection of professional voice over and music bed
Work closely with the Marketing Manager and Sales Managers to develop outstanding marketing strategies that are in-line with station initiatives
Develop print and digital creative in Photoshop
Perform occasional maintenance on production vehicles such checking the tire pressure and taking the vehicles to the dealer for inspection
Assist Marketing Manager on special projects and/or assignments as needed

Qualifications/Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in production, marketing or similar field
•Minimum of 3 years of on-air promotion experience as writer/producer/editor for a cable, network or local TV station
•Must be able to read, write and speak Spanish
•Must be flexible to work evenings and weekends on short notice, accommodate varies changing work schedules to meet deadlines
•Ability to work with audio and video equipment
•Strong understanding of US Hispanic consumer
•Must write compelling scripts while communicating message effectively
•Must have an expert understanding of Microsoft Office, Photoshop, non-linear editing and After Effects
•Must be able to produce on and off air campaigns including print, radio, outdoor and digital media with proven results
•Must have a clear understanding and have working knowledge of how to produce exceptional creative campaigns with continuity and with proven results
•Must be able to provide a reel/portfolio of work examples -- if available, include a web address when you submit your resume

Desired Characteristics

•Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or similar field
•Experience in Marketing
•Prior production experience in a Spanish language TV station
•Proficient in Spanish
•Strong presentation skills
•Strong editing skills; Adobe Premiere experience preferred and After Effects, to able to create high quality promos
•Must be able to meet tight deadlines and adapt to whatever the project calls for
•Highly organized with attention to detail and be able to handle multiple projects in a fast paced environment
•Ability to work efficiently and prioritize in order to meet deadlines
•Communicate effectively with all levels of personnel
•Great attitude and strong team player
•Takes critiques and direction well
•Demo reel speaks for itself & contains news image promos and commercials
