Job Description: Local Sales Manager

Pillar Media (Colorado) is expanding and launching two new radio stations! To continue our growth, we're looking for a strategic thinking, digital savvy, highly motivated sales professional to lead our Colorado team. Our ideal candidate is an outgoing individual who has a passion for meeting and exceeding sales goals and understands how to motivate and encourage others to do the same.

  • Successful record in leading sales teams to goal completion and team member retention.
  • A proven track record of sales success; meeting and exceeding goals.
  • Strong understanding of local marketing and digital media.
  • Exposed to selling processes consisting of prospecting, rapport building, needs analysis, proposal preparation, in-person presentations, closing, and servicing accounts.
  • Knowledge of market research, sales, and negotiating principles.
  • Strong skills in planning, communicating, and organizing.
  • High level of proficiency and competency in understanding how to navigate computer systems; as well as using programs like: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), One Drive, etc.
  • Experience in Marketron Broadcast Solutions and Customer Relationship Management systems is a plus.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibility will be to lead, manage, and hold the team accountable to achieve and exceed sales goals while maintaining their own.
  • Oversight of Colorado sales team.
  • Maintaining personal and team sales goals.
  • Selling and facilitating team sales of traditional radio, sponsorships, digital, and other station promotions.
  • Identifying prospects by presenting their businesses with solutions to help them meet their goals.
  • Creating, presenting, and reviewing written proposals.
  • Collections and servicing the client’s account.
  • Acquiring and encouraging new long-term business partnerships while servicing and growing those relationships.
  • Conducting and attending mandatory station meetings as necessary. (i.e.: weekly staff meetings, weekly sales meetings, one-on-one’s with your sales team, one-on-one’s with your direct supervisor, and any other mandatory meetings as scheduled.)
