2022 Awards of Excellence Are Open!

The 2022 Awards of Excellence contest is open. The deadline for all entries is Friday, January 13th, 2023 with payments due the following Monday, January 16th, 2023. The 2022 Call for Entries is linked below, along with several additional and helpful links. Categories remain the same, however there has been a slight modification to Rule #3 regarding voice-tracking. You can find the rules on the last page of the Call for Entries. Entry prices have been increased and are also on the last page of the Call for Entries. We strongly encourage you to login in early and make sure your account is setup properly. Submit one entry early, so you don’t run into problems near deadline.

If you have an existing Entries Express account, you will receive an email with instructions for logging in (check your SPAM folder). If you have never had an Entries Express account, use the link below and follow the instructions for creating an account.

A couple of tips…

  1. Don’t submit an entry until you’re absolutely sure the information and the audio/video is correct and complete. Entries cannot be deleted by users, once submitted! You will have to email the CBA office to have an entry deleted. Avoid confusion and errors and be certain before submitting.
  2. Please pay for all your submitted entries, with a single payment, once you’ve finished entering. Submit entries at your own pace and pay for them all when you’re done submitting. We understand if you have to use different credit cards, but avoid paying for each entry individually with the same card.

Once the contest closes, entries will be distributed to broadcast judging panels, nationwide. After the judging is completed, station managers will be notified, initially, of winning entries in first or second place. Entries Express entrants will also receive notifications in the weeks following the certification of winners.

Keep checking the CBA’s website and newsletter for updates.

Don’t forget to submit outstanding broadcasters for the Rex Howell Broadcaster of the Year and Harry W. Hoth Public Service Awards. These entries are free and simply require a nomination letter, outlining the nominees contributions to the Colorado broadcast industry. More details can be found in the Call for Entries.

We’re also excited to invite Colorado’s Future Broadcasters, students involved in high school or college radio and television, to enter our Future Broadcasters category, at no charge, again this year.

The CBA is here to help with questions as you begin the entry process.

Good Luck!
