Denver Virtual Ascertainment Meetings provide stations, that serve the Denver Metro area, the opportunity to hear from local leaders about current issues important to your community. These meetings help your station identify locally relevant issues of importance in your community. In addition, the topics presented will help fulfill the community ascertainment portion of your station’s online public file that requires quarterly reporting of issues and programs.
The CBA, working with David Foxhoven, is now presenting these meetings in a shorter, more frequent, virtual, format. Ascertainment meetings will now occur twice per quarter, for one hour, with up to 2 presenters per meeting. This new format of virtual, shorter and more frequent meetings will ultimately be less of a burden for those employees with multiple duties and already packed schedules. Moving the meetings to a virtual environment also gives us the ability to capture presentations and offer them for on-demand viewing.
CBA members can participate for $35/per meeting and non-members for $70/per meeting. Registration is required by the registration deadline, and to access the on-demand meetings at a later date. Attendees should be station employees involved in the community affairs issues and programming for their station or broadcast group. Please do not send interns.
This meeting will include a presenter from the Colorado Organization for Victim Assistance and Brian Vogt, CEO of the Denver Botanical Gardens.
The next meeting is to be announced.
Use the registration form below and you will be emailed instructions for joining the meeting on the Friday prior to the meeting. We ask that attendees sign in about 15 minutes early to familiarize themselves with the Webex platform. If you have any questions contact the CBA at 720-536-5427 or [email protected]
