JOB DESCRIPTION: ​PART-TIME MEMBERSHIP COORDINATOR 

Located in Fort Collins, Colorado

Preferred Qualifications

       Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university

       One or more years’ experience working with membership/fundraising databases

       A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, as well as working with broadly diverse communities

       One or more years’ experience in broadcasting/community radio

Minimum Skill Requirements

·       High degree of accuracy with data entry and be detail oriented

·       Interact in a respectful and grateful manner to station membership

·       Competency in fundamental office software including, but not limited to Microsoft Word® and Excel®

·       Work with self-direction and independently as well as within a team

·       Learn and successfully operate mass texting, auction fundraising and CRM software

·       Good writing skills

·       Work within deadlines and during critical times, work extra hours with a flexible schedule

·       Be responsible with critical information and have discretion

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work performed is in an office setting with some flexibility for some remote tele-work. Extensive time spent at a desk working on a computer, with periods of long hours of data entry. Some off-site work is required to help with special events and represent the radio station. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.

Overview

The Membership Coordinator is the main liaison between the station and our donors. This position requires a mix of customer service, data entry, attention to detail, writing skills, acuity with numbers, computer and organizational skills. The ability to learn new software is critical. Initial training in the station’s CRM software will be provided, however self-directed future training is required to stay current and maximize the software’s capabilities. This position is 10 hours per week, generally Monday to Friday. However, during station events, nights and weekends are required to get work completed in a timely basis.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

·       Working and consulting extensively with the Executive Director at all times

·       Providing great customer service to membership

·       Monitoring and responding to email, phone, mail and in-person communications from members and listeners

·       Writing thank you letters and other correspondence

·       Using established best practices, manage and maintain the membership database

·       Record donations from all sources and correspondence in the membership database in a timely manner

·       Monitor all station merchant services and enter relevant information into the membership database

·       Monitor interruptions in recurring donations and contact membership to encourage renewing

·       Responsible for creating and sending year-end tax receipt letters

·       Maintain the station’s texting list and periodically create and send out texts

·       Monitor and coordinate with the Executive Director merchandise purchases

·       When applicable, implement and monitor virtual auction platform

·       Provide various membership reports upon request

·       Maintain donation pages on website

·       Track workplace giving donations

·       Attend webinars and free virtual conferences to update training and obtain fundraising trends to the station’s benefit.

·       Prep CRM, web pages, texting and other platforms for fundraisers
