PBS12 is seeking a full-time Production Coordinator to fill a critical office role in the production and media distribution process. This individual’s work is more project and production management focused.  As part of this role there will be some opportunity for creative input, though this tends to be an organizational role.


Key Responsibilities:


     Coordinates details of multiple productions at various project stages concurrently

     Assists with the media and content acquisition, postproduction, and distribution process

     Coordinates closed captioning for media distributed on PBS12’s platforms

     Ensures all production related records, music rights, releases and media are obtained and organized according to standards and requirements

     Partners with multiple teams including Production Services, Content and Marketing teams to ensure workflow efficiencies

     Coordinates scheduling and record keeping in multiple databases


     Collects data and coordinates metrics for various funders and reporting requirements

     Assists in packaging and publishing digital content and coordinates any deliverables to partners

     Acts as production point of contact with crew

     Inflow and outflow of Assets for programming, ie lower thirds, final deliverables, etc. and/or outside clients.

     Understanding and defining deliverables for internal and external projects.

     Develops work orders and schedules for productions, ensuring compliance with PBS12 and union guidelines

     Stays current on branding and packaging requirements

     Coordinates programming and distribution scheduling according to PBS12 business needs as well as contracted deliverables

     Assists production and project management teams with other administrative duties as needed


Required Experience:


     3+ years video, film or event production

     2 year of project management experience


Knowledge, skills, and abilities:


     Computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite – Outlook, Word, Excel, OneDrive, Teams, the Adobe Creative Suite,

     Self-starter who independently solves problems and takes initiative

     Strong focus on audience and end user needs

     Strong organizational and time management skills. Able to multitask in a fast-paced, time sensitive production environment.

     Open to change; rapidly adapts to new information, changing conditions, or unexpected obstacles

     Interest in learning and applying project management skills in a content production environment

     Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

     Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with all team members.

     Commitment to advancing Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility (IDEA) priorities within the organization.




     May need to occasionally shift schedules to work outside typical workdays, including weekends and evenings.

     Occasional travel may be required for productions.
