POSTION PURPOSE: Produce a show that discuss the issues of the day, relatable and compelling news, and matters important to family and community. Management will assign responsibilities on a regular and/or rotating basis depending upon need and proven capabilities and the need to provide expertise for the future.

This is an on-site role that requires the employee to work at our Denver site.

In order to work on Company premises, or with clients / members of the public at other locations, Bonneville employees must provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 or evidence of a negative COVID-19 test within the previous seven days.

  • Present on-air talk topics and interviews that are compelling, informative, and interesting and adhere to station’s format philosophy and the The Fan brand.
  • Contribute creative ideas on show development, topics, and guests, format execution and station promotion.
  • Maintain a professional and helpful attitude toward other staff members at all times.
  • Maintain confidentiality in regard to personnel matters, wage and salary, company strategies and other sensitive matters in communication with listeners, workers and the media.
  • Able to work under deadline and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Work in tandem with on-air talk show host(s) in producing compelling talk show programming and provide guidance and feedback to enhance his/her on-air presentation.
  • Execute station brand image within the show.
  • Evaluate current sports news or events each day and offer suggestions on how those events might be presented on the air in a way that is compelling to all listeners.
  • Research possible interview topics and guests by careful study of developing news through printed media (magazines, newspapers, books, the Internet, etc.) and by phone and/or personal contact with community and national organizations.
  • Responsible for the overall sound of the show, including bump music, drops and any other effects that contribute to the product.
  • Ability to run the board and screen calls during the program.
  • Active Knowledge of current local/national sports news events to be able to add to radio segments.
  • Active Knowledge of pop culture.  Assist with keeping the show updated on the latest trends in pop
  • culture.
  • Assist on-air host(s) in producing daily promotional spots.
  • Write live endorsement scripts for talent
  • Be the eyes and ears of the show.  Listen often and report both positives and negatives to the Executive Producer and Program Director.
  • Work closely with the web department to develop story ideas, blog ideas, picture and video ideas, and help create unique online content while coordinating between the department and Talk Show.
  • Connect and collaborate with the hosts on a daily basis to consistently meet their vision and expectations of their on-air product.
  • Assist in writing and developing creative imaging that is consistent with the overall brand message.
  • Write and produce daily and weekend sports update imaging
  • Responsible for overseeing all audio editing of relevant daily sound.
  • Assist in managing station affidavit reports
  • Maintain confidentiality by not discussing internal Bonneville Denver matters, company strategies, client's proprietary information, personnel matters, wage and salary information or any sensitive information with clients, competitors, listeners, the media or inappropriately with co-workers, and by not distributing our proprietary research or other information to our competitors.
  • Assist senior technical operator with daily logs
  • Post daily podcasts and show summaries on the website.
  • Point of contact for accumulating audio for year-long award audio, and producing submissions at year’s end
  • Maintain social media accounts for the show and assist in maintaining station accounts.
  • Be active in personal growth and development.  Use this knowledge to improve daily experiences.
  • Take a proactive role in supporting Bonneville's policy to prevent harassment of any kind within the workplace, at off-site places of company business and at company-sponsored social venues.
  • Assure that employees working in your department will receive annual performance appraisals.  Guarantee that employees will sign Conflict of Interest and Payola annually.
  • Develop and maintain professional and technical capabilities in order to make full use of the tools and opportunities provided by the station and to expand personal contribution to the company.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Experience with Sports Production.
  • Experience serving as a board operator.


  • HIRING SALARY RANGE$14.42/Hour  - $15.86/Hour (equates to $30,000 - $33,000 annually). Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant.
