As a Search Engine Optimization Specialist, you will manage SEO initiatives across Bonneville’s portfolio of websites and apps, as well as our podcasts, video, and audio offerings.
This is an opportunity to lead SEO training for editorial teams, develop best practices for attracting audience, and help shape content strategy across local news and sports properties. A successful candidate has a proven track record of optimizing content for organic search and analytic skills to track progress.
An SEO Specialist for Bonneville also understands the role social media plays in online visibility and is eager to educate editorial teams on increasing content value.
This is a remote role where the employee may report to work in-person on occasion or not at all.
To work on Company premises, or with clients / members of the public at other locations, Bonneville employees must provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 or evidence of a negative COVID-19 test within the previous seven days.
- Manage SEO strategy across Bonneville's digital properties (websites, apps, podcasts, audio, and video)
- Develop SEO best practices and keyword strategies
- Provide training to editorial teams across multiple broadcast markets
- Identify search trends and industry standards to inform editorial decision making
- Research and champion new ways of optimizing content for discoverability
- Regularly audit digital assets across markets
- Work closely with development team to ensure SEO best practices are implemented in new code
- Track, report, and analyze analytics as they relate to organic audience acquisition
- Work with data intelligence team to identify most desirable audience segments
- Manage YouTube search strategy and performance
- Coordinate with third-party distributors to expand marketing opportunities
- Manage social media acquisition strategy as it relates to content visibility and value
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Thorough understanding of digital marketing channels including SEO, SEM and social media
Experience with digital analytics including Google Analytics, YouTube Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Webmaster tools, Facebook Insights, and Twitter
Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills
Experience working in digital media marketing
Ability to work well under pressure and under deadlines
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS BUT NOT REQUIRED:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Journalism, or a related discipline.
Experience with A/B experiments
Knowledge of search engine algorithms
Experience with website optimization tools
Up-to-date knowledge on latest in search and social trends
HIRING COMPENSATION RANGE: $50,000 - $60,000 annually depending on experience
Receive, process, and maintain information through oral and/or written communication effectively.
Substantial physical movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
