The Colorado Broadcasters Association continues to be the unified voice for Colorado broadcasters, and your membership directly powers that work. Over the past year, the CBA helped move the AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act closer than ever to becoming law, successfully opposed efforts to impose advertising restrictions through Colorado online gaming legislation, defended government transparency and newsroom access, and expanded programs that strengthen our industry, including the inaugural Colorado Broadcasters Hall of Fame and another record-setting Awards of Excellence.
Your support also makes possible the FCC legal hotline, ABIP inspections, political advertising guidance, sales training, scholarships, and member resources that broadcasters rely on every day. As regulatory, legislative, and economic challenges continue to grow, we encourage you to renew your 2026-2027 membership and invest in the future strength and influence of Colorado broadcasting.

AM Radio for Every Vehicle: It's About ALL Radio! |
|
A final push for the AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act is coming in July. This legislation needs to get across the finish line before the August recess.
All radio (AM and FM) should be airing the AM advocacy spots, encourage on-air talent to discuss the importance of free local radio in the dashboard, and engage listeners on social media. Every station, every spot, and every listener reached helps demonstrate why radio remains essential for public safety, emergency communications, and local communities. |

Reducing Friction Between Traffic, Billing & Payments
July 9th 12:00 pm (MT)
Media finance teams operate at the intersection of traffic, billing, and payments — but when those systems fall out of sync, friction builds quickly. In this session, we’ll explore where breakdowns typically occur across media finance workflows and why integration is often the key to improving performance.
Attendees will learn:
- Why traffic systems sit at the center of media finance operations
- Where common disconnects create delays, risk, and manual work
- What effective system integration actually looks like
- How finance teams can reduce operational friction and improve visibility
By the end of the session, attendees will have a clearer framework for evaluating their current setup and identifying where friction is coming from — so they can move faster with less risk.

Quarterly Tower Lighting System Inspection
2026 Q2 ends this month (June), which means stations owning their towers must complete and document their “Quarterly Tower Lighting System Inspection.”
Let’s review the basic responsibility of tower owners whose towers must meet FAA painting/lighting requirements. Not all towers with an Antenna Structure Registration number (ASR) are required to meet specific FAA lighting/marking. |
