Colorado's Senators Want to Hear You!
After more than three years of advocacy, the U.S. House passed the AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act (H.R. 979) last week.
This is a big win for radio, but we’re not done!
Now our attention turns to the Senate, where companion legislation S. 315 has already cleared the Senate Commerce Committee. Colorado Senators Michael Bennet and John Hickenlooper have not yet signed on as cosponsors. We need Colorado broadcasters to keep up the pressure.
Contact Senators Bennet and Hickenlooper and ask them to cosponsor S. 315. Tag them in your station’s social media posts, continue to talk about the legislation on-air, and encourage your listeners to contact both senators.
Colorado broadcasters and their listeners helped get this legislation through the House. Let’s keep the momentum going and get it through the Senate.

Budget for Your Station's Alternative Broadcast Inspection in 2027
Stations inspected in 2024 are due for their three-year Alternative Broadcast Inspection (ABIP) in 2027. ABIP prices will remain the same for 2027 and applications are at the link below.
If you’re unsure of your ABIP expiration, contact the CBA for your last inspection date.
ABIP provides a thorough review of your Online Public Information File (OPIF), Emergency Alert System (EAS) and physical transmitter site. The CBA’s ABIP inspector provides each station with a detailed report of all findings and, if passed, a renewed three-year certificate that protects against “pop” FCC inspections for a new three-year term. Findings are never shared with the FCC.
