Bill Dallman serves as Vice President and General manager at KREX/KFQX/KGJT in Grand Junction, Bill oversees all station operations and is the primary driver of the editorial decision-making process for KREX, KFQX and the digital offerings of http://www.westernslopenow.com. Previously in Colorado, Bill was the original news director for KDVR in Denver, starting the newsroom from scratch. Prior to Grand Junction, Dallman served as President and General Manager at KARE 11 (NBC) in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul. KARE 11 consistently produces impactful journalism and during Dallman’s tenure, earned multiple prestigious journalism awards locally and nationally including a Peabody, two duPont awards and a national Murrow for Overall Excellence.

Prior to KARE 11, Bill was News Director at KOMO News (ABC) in Seattle, where he managed and motivated a market-leading operation. During that time, Dallman was the Region One Board Director for RTDNA. His career also featured News Director positions in Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Denver and Grand Rapids, Michigan.

In 2013, Dallman was chosen to be part of the original group of executives who launched the FOX Sports 1 network. He helped design coverage for nationally aired sports shows and assisted in content plans for Super Bowls, World Series, NBA Finals, Stanley Cup Finals, College Football National Championships, NASCAR. Olympic Games, World Cup Soccer and UFC.

Bill is a proud graduate with a degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and was honored with an alumnus “Career Distinguished Service Award” in 2017. Bill’s wife Angela Cushman Dallman is a fellow UW Broadcast Journalism graduate and works as a field producer for NBC News.

Bill Dallman is, and will always be, a fierce defender of First Amendment freedoms allowing journalists to tell truths and right wrongs in society.

Reason for Running

I believe I’d be a strong addition to the CBA Board. Having excelled in network sports, major market newsrooms and as a general manager, I know the quality of work done in our smaller markets. I will advocate for the proper support to keeping local news in Colorado viable and vibrant.
