Brittany Pettersen was born in Colorado and grew up in Jefferson County, the community she is now proud to represent in Congress. She is the first woman to represent this district, which encompasses Jefferson, Broomfield, Lake, Park, Teller, Chaffee, Fremont, and Custer counties. Representative Pettersen is a member of the House Financial Services Committee where she serves on the Subcommittee on Housing and Insurance and as the Vice Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on National Security, Illicit Finance, and International Financial Institutions.
