  Position Overview

  Four Corners Broadcasting is seeking a part-time on-air host for our award-winning stations, KIQX-FM and KRSJ-FM. If you’re passionate about radio and music, skilled at hosting both live and voice-tracked shows, and enjoy creative production work, this opportunity could be perfect for you!

  Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  Key responsibilities include:

  Organizing and presenting an engaging weekend music show
  Producing weekly syndicated programs and local commercials, ensuring all audio elements are flawless before broadcast
  Managing music and traffic logs through the on-air automation system
  Monitoring and maintaining accurate on-air content, reporting technical issues to engineering/programming, and ensuring commercials, imaging, and production run smoothly                                                                                                                                                    Reporting equipment issues and keeping discrepancy reports updated to document any deviations from program logs or quality standards
  Cross training for other shifts to cover scheduling emergencies
  Filling in for vacations, sick days, and other board shifts as needed

  Combined Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

  High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in broadcasting or communications preferred
  Strong written and verbal communication skills
  Basic computer literacy and comfort with Microsoft Office Suite, with preferred experience in Adobe Audition and Google Workspace.
  Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with a high attention to detail and accuracy
  Reliable, adaptable, and receptive to coaching
  Positive attitude and professionalism: Individuals should be creative and outgoing with the ability to work independently.

  Note: Responsibilities may change according to business needs and at the company’s discretion. This role is a part-time weekend shift with potential for extra shifts, covering vacations and sick leave. It is an onsite position requiring work in our Durango office.
