Peter Maroney Appointed to the CBA’s Board of Directors

The CBA welcomes its newest member to the CBA’s Board of Directors, Peter Maroney, President & General Manager of KDVR/KWGN-TV, Denver.

Peter began his career at KHOU/CBS in Houston, working as reporter, photographer, producer, assignment editor, and news anchor . His work in news and documentary took him to such highly regarded stations as KGW/NBC in Portland; WCCO/CBS in Minneapolis; and WBZ/NBC in Boston

Throughout his career, Peter also served on boards or committees of numerous civic and industry organizations. He is a past-President of both the Virginia Association of Broadcasters and the Oregon Association of Broadcasters. He served as director and officer of the Virginia Coalition For Open Government and for the Richmond Chapter of the American Red Cross.

Peter fills the Metro Market/TV seat left vacant by retiring board member Wick Rowland.  “Peter’s broadcast experience and his involvement in the Oregon and Virginia broadcast associations make him a welcome addition to the Colorado Broadcasters Association.  I look forward to incorporating his prior experience into new ideas at the CBA.” said Justin Sasso, President and CEO of the Colorado Broadcasters Association.

We are proud to welcome Peter Maroney to the CBA’s Board of Directors and as always thank all the individuals who voluntarily give their valuable time to help guide the Colorado Broadcasters Association.
