Pillar Media Brings Local CCM and CHH to Denver Market, Hires Max Media Staff

Aurora, CO – (April 5,2024) – Pillar Media has completed the purchase of two FMs in the Denver Metro and launched with Christian formats.

KJHM becomes a member of Pillar’s STAR format as STAR 101.5 and KFCO brings Christian Hip Hop to the market as KINGDOM 107.1. Both stations are now local sister channels to Pillar Media’s KPOF that has been on the air in Denver since 1928.

Pillar Media Brand Director, Matt Stockman says, “We’re beyond excited to be able to share music and programming that delivers hope to the amazing people of the Mile High City. We can’t wait to connect with this community, cheer on the Nuggets (and all the local teams!) and grow in our faith together through both Denver-centric stations!”

Along with the flip come familiar faces and voices to Denver radio. Former Max Media on-air talents Tony Valdez (Tony V) and Senen Rodriguez (SLiM) both join the Pillar Media team serving in Programming and On-Air.

Also transitioning to the Pillar team is previous Max Media Denver President and General Manager, Sean Rhoads. Rhoads brings decades of success in Sales and Marketing and will head up Digital Sales for all five Pillar Media stations, also serving as Local Sales Manager for Pillar Media Denver. All three have a strong track record in the Denver market, having each won multiple awards with the Colorado Broadcasters Association.

Director of Broadcasting, Art Garza, shares, “Pillar Media is thrilled about the opportunity to spread the message of hope through these two new FM stations. Words can’t express our excitement in welcoming new key staff members from the previous stations. With all the circumstances that came together at one time, we believe that God was working behind the scenes and had a plan all along.”

Both stations went on-air the evening of Thursday, April 4.
