There are several rumors circulating regarding the possibility of a change that would amortize the tax deduction for advertising over a number of years.
The CBA is working diligently on this matter, alongside the NAB, and has joined 49 other state broadcast associations in very emphatically stating our opposition to any change in the deductibility of advertising. That letter will be circulated to all members of the Ways and Means committee as well as to House leadership.
However, it is my understanding that there are conversations occurring within the House Leadership that question the prudence of this decision, at this time.
