KVNF Mountain Grown Community Radio | Western Colorado
KVNF is seeking a Digital and Community Engagement Coordinator to join our team and help shape what community media looks like in the coming decades.
This position is responsible for assisting with the many ways KVNF engages with our community. That engagement occurs across different digital platforms, membership services, and in-person events. It’s a job for a gregarious person who loves face-to-face community engagement and who has expertise in strategically engaging with communities across digital platforms.
KVNF serves a wide, rural region on Colorado’s Western Slope. Our listeners rely on us for clear, trustworthy reporting that reflects where they live and what matters to them. The coordinator would have a role in keeping that trust and carrying the KVNF brand forward.
About the role
The role reports to the General Manager and, when supporting membership activities, takes direction from the Membership Director.
This position is responsible for an important evolution at KVNF. Only 20% of our audience is under the age of 60. If KVNF is to continue to thrive in the future we must have the enthusiastic support of our current membership while attracting and retaining the next generation of KVNF’s supporters. This will require strategies that are new to KVNF with bold, skillful, and strategic implementation across all areas of our operations.
KVNF is actively working to reach and engage new audiences beyond our FM signal. This position is responsible for shaping the digital engagement journey of a new audience from “discovery of KVNF” to “loyal supporter”.
KVNF has a robust membership operation working with more than 1,300 households actively supporting us, a new customer relationship management platform, and a regular cadence of fundraising events, mailings, newsletters, etc. This position is an integral part of our membership engagement and supports its operations. KVNF’s engagement with our community includes in-person, face-to-face events and on-air fundraisers, working closely with volunteers. The in-person events occur across our broadcast area but tend to concentrate during summer months. This position will manage KVNF’s in-person events in coordination with the rest of the staff and volunteers.
