Emergency Alert System (EAS) Nationwide Test

The FCC and FEMA have announced a nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) for Tuesday, November 17, 2026, at 12:20 p.m. MT. All EAS Participants are required to participate and should ensure their EAS equipment is running the latest required firmware and is properly configured to receive the IPAWS-delivered CAP test. Stations must also complete required EAS Test Reporting System (ETRS) filings: Form One by October 30, Form Two within 48 hours of the test, and Form Three within 45 days. If conditions require the November 17 test to be postponed, the backup date is December 3, 2026.
