Professional Experience Summary
I am currently the Owner of Always Mountain Time, LLC. We own and operate 12 stations in the major resort ski towns in Colorado. I am an incumbent CBA Board member who has been on the board for over 10 years.I have served in every position on the executive “ladder,” for the CBA, including Chairman, during this time. Currently, I am the Co-chair of the Future Broadcasters Committee and also serve on the Hall of Fame Committee and the Awards of Excellence Committee. My wife and I also own 4 stations in Billings, MT.
My career started in sales at KBPI in Denver and I progressed in various positions at three companies in various large and small markets in the Western US, from Sales Manager to Regional President, to CEO and, eventually, transitioned into station ownership in 2008. I have been a station owner ever since.
Reason for Running
I am running to continue working on behalf of Colorado broadcasters to help navigate the legal, regulatory, financial and operating headwinds that face station owners today. In addition to the CBA Board, I have been a past member of the Oregon, Washington, and Utah Broadcasters Associations and was a radio representative on the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) for almost 12 years – reaching my term limit last fall. I feel my knowledge and experience of the issues and challenges that we face as broadcasters provides a unique viewpoint and understanding of the climate in which Colorado broadcasters operate in today. I would be honored to continue in current role at the CBA.
