Biography

Tom Green has been a defining presence in Colorado broadcasting for more than four decades, earning recognition for his versatility across television and radio. Beginning his Denver career in 1982 as a sportscaster for KUSA-TV, Green went on to host and anchor for 104.3 The Fan, Fox Sports Rocky Mountain, and KMGH before spending 16 years as a news anchor at KWGN. Returning to KUSA-TV in 2017, he anchored both morning and evening newscasts, covering many of the state’s most significant events—from championship parades and Olympic coverage to natural disasters and breaking news that shaped Colorado’s modern history.

Green’s impact extends beyond the newsroom. His work has included play-by-play announcing for the Denver Broncos, college football, and the Colorado Avalanche, as well as hosting duties for ESPN’s Sports on Tap, the Olympic Zone, and Denver’s Parade of Lights. Known for his professionalism, sharp wit, and mentorship of young journalists, Green has been a trusted and respected voice in Colorado media, embodying the integrity and dedication that define a Hall of Fame broadcaster.
