PBS12 is seeking an energetic, highly skilled, creative Multi-Skilled Journalist who is passionate about their craft and thrives on great storytelling.

No live shots. No breaking news. Nights, weekends, and holidays ONLY when the story demands it. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Strong storytelling skills, including but not limited to interviewing, writing, and video editing
• Proficiency with the latest editing and photography tools.
• The ability to work independently or with a team.
• Use creative production techniques such as graphics and new forms of media (phones, webcam interviews, etc.) to enhance stories.
• Be able to edit videos for TV, OTT, website, and social media.
• A clear understanding of the principles of journalism and ethical behaviors.
• Must be able to multitask, work on both short-term and long-term projects, and manage time independently.
• Ability to present on camera as well as voice-over projects.
• Collaborate with station interns in the PBS12 Creator Academy program.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Five years or more as an MSJ or Photojournalist.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to lift and carry 40lbs and occasionally up to 80lbs of equipment.
• NOTE: You must provide your own transportation to shoot locations.  PBS12 reimburses mileage for personal vehicles.
• Demonstrated excellent storytelling, writing skills, photography experience, and non-linear editing skills.
• Strong computer and organizational skills.
• Strong knowledge of Adobe Premiere and the Adobe Creative Cloud suite.
• Drone experience and FAA Part 107 certification are a plus.

COMPENSATION

^$75K - ^$80K  Annual Salary
