AI, Value and M&A in Media
AI, Value and M&A in Media moves beyond the broad discussion of how AI is changing the industry to examine its real-world impact on media company valuations and M&A activity. Designed for CFOs, corporate development leaders, investors, and media operators, the session will explore where value is migrating, who is buying, what acquirers are willing to pay for, and how AI is changing the questions that should be asked during due diligence. Through concrete deal examples and candid discussion, attendees will gain a clearer view of the current transaction environment, emerging risks and opportunities, and where media asset values may be headed next.
The session brings together five experts spanning media operations, AI, law, strategy, and dealmaking. Rob Rosenberg, Partner at Moses Singer, Managing Director of MS Strategic Solutions, and Senior Advisor to ODP, brings decades of experience at the intersection of media, technology, law, and business, including serving as EVP and General Counsel of Showtime Networks. Sumeet Mahajan, Partner and AI & Data Practice Lead at Grant Thornton, advises organizations on translating AI and data investments into measurable business value and previously served as Accenture’s North America Head of AI. Rich Caccappolo, Vice Chairman, Media at DMGT, brings three decades of media and technology leadership, including serving as CEO of DMG Media. Evan Shapiro, founder of ESHAP and widely known as the Media Cartographer, is a Webby, Emmy, and Peabody Award-winning creator and industry thought leader focused on the changing media ecosystem. Jon Guttenberg, Managing Director at Oaklins DeSilva+Phillips, brings extensive M&A and strategic advisory experience across media, advertising, technology, and related sectors, along with prior operating leadership at companies ranging from startups to Viacom and Random House.
